Regina Viarum Mencía: A red wine from the Ribeira Sacra DO, made with 100% Mencía and aged for 6 months on lees in stainless steel tanks, preserving its fruity character. Awarded a Gold Medal at the 2023 Bacchus International Competition and 91 points by James Suckling. It has a cherry red color with violet reflections. The nose offers intense aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, with balsamic touches and a subtle mineral background that reflects the slate soils. The palate is fresh and silky, with balanced acidity and elegant tannins. The finish is long and fruity. It pairs perfectly with Galician stew, meat stews, bluefin tuna, and semi-cured cheeses.
