At Magno Pistachio we offer a Select Spanish Pistachio from Organic Production, in which with a manual selection we provide a superior product quality.
Our first pistachios were planted in the Paraje de la "Casa Trujillo". Its soft soil together with its large amount of limestone would not only provide the large size of its fruit, but also its great flavor.
From the first moment we were clear that...we were located in a unique enclave, being one of the best areas of Spain for this crop. The pistachio plantation is located a few kilometers from the Júcar River, near the town of Jorquera, whose Almohad roots make us think that centuries ago there would have already been trees planted with this exquisite delicacy.
The variety that we have planted the largest surface area is "Kerman". It is the most planted variety in Spain, and although we are opting to plant other more productive varieties, we, despite their reduced productivity, value the quality and large size of their fruits.
The natural area of ?Las Hoces del Río Júcar?, to which Jorquera belongs, is populated by the Pistacia terebinthus or Cornicabra bush, which is the rootstock par excellence generally used in Spain, which has been occupying the slopes of this beautiful canyon for centuries. The desired variety of pistachio is grafted onto it, and thanks to its resistance to limestone and drought, it becomes the perfect rootstock for this area.
At Magno Pistachio we dedicate a lot of time to caring for the trees, because we know that a high-quality pistachio, which is what our brand offers, can only be achieved with great care and dedication.
In addition to its manual harvesting in its first years, we put a lot of emphasis on its manual selection to offer a different product of superior quality.
